After carefully saving up my gems for use in hiring Steve and Tricia's beach house in Norfolk for a week recently I found that I could quickly earn them back while I was down there. The beach house proved a wonderful retreat, situated in a most beautiful part of the country, overlooking a lake at the back and the beach at the front. However, because Steve and Tricia and their young family are not able to get down there too often they were keen that I earn the gems back by weeding their garden and cutting back overgrown shrubs etc.  It took several hours hard work over the week, but we managed to earn all our gems back and still have a great holiday into the bargain!
Then when I heard we had recruited a plumber and electrician to the fold, I couldn't wait to get spending again. When our pond pump packed up Paul came and checked it out and confirmed that we needed a new pump which he is happy to come back and install for us. Then a plumbing problem that my daughter had was not only sorted quickly and cheerfully by Simon, but he was also able to discover the source of a pervading smell in the house that had been caused by a former shoddy plumbing job and put it right straight away. A brilliant piece of work for a gem!
Now I need to start earning gems again, so anyone who wants their car cleaning, garden tidying up or some household cleaning etc... please get in touch.
