Being part of the skills exchange means being part of a community.
We are not a yellow pages where if you need help you dial a number and get a service or skill provided for a gem.

From the beginning of the existence of our group we have had social get togethers, whether they were small groups coming to gether during the day for a cuppa, a glass of wine and cheese in the evenings, pic nics in the park or like yesterday at a pampering evening.

Martha organised this one as she also wanted to generate some time (gems) for the community chest. Mike, Barbara and Anne gave their time and offered reflexology, Indian Head massage, aromatherapy massage, aromatherapy facials and hand reading. They all set up in their own little rooms and the kitchen became the hub where everyone came back to when they had their treatments. Martha looked after us well, she poured the drinks (brought by each of us) and made sure the nibbles were topped up. We chatted about the wonderful treatment we had just had, help we have provided for others so that we could have these treatment and generally got to know each other better.

We had a fantastic evening, everyone was totally re-energized, my home smelled lovely for the following days with all the aromatherapy scents and lovely warm atmosphere lingering reminding me of a very special time with friends.

Thank you to all of you who participated, we have now 6 hours in the community chest
