Thursday

My husband fell in love with me again!

This happens every 6 or so weeks when Loreen cuts my hair. I don't know how she does it but every time Mark comes home when I have visited Loreen he overwhelms me with compliments.

Whilst having the 'hairdressers' chat I found out that Loreen's radiators were not all working, she described the problem which resounded in me as I had had the same problem with mine. The thermostat got stuck. After the blowdry and straightening I looked like a cared for lady again and went straight up stairs to check the plumbing. Although not hundred % successful, at least I got one of the radiators to work. Also, I baked 2 loaves of bread for Elisabeth to pick up and enjoy.

Thank you for cutting my hair and I hope you liked the bread

Monday

With a special evening in sight, the members of the Skills Exchange have turned out to be real Gems!

Last Thursday I was invited to a wonderful event organised by the BBC and The Evening Post to celebrate local Hero's.

Clara could not wait to make me look more lady like. On the monday before, I went to see her at her house. Tea, cake and juice was awaiting me and before I knew it, my allotment hands were treated with a wonderful massage and my nails looked to out of this world. So much so that for the rest of the week I could not dig, weed, tinker with the bikes, scrub floors or do any manual work for fear that I would chip or damage any of Clara's art work!

Then on Wednesday, Loreen came and sorted out my hair. She cut and blow dried it into a bob (Just the way Mark likes it) and then used the hair straighteners to make it look all tidy and shiny. When Mark came home, he could hardly recognise me.

That evening we went out to see our eldest son make his first speech, he too was pleasantly surprised to see his down to earth mum, look so tidy. He claims that his friends wished to have nails like mine. Clara, it looks like there is loads of business for you at Tom's school!

The Thursday evening was fantastic, the people there were wonderful and I felt great. Many, many thanks to Clara and Loreen for my make over.

Saturday

At very short notice, between business trips, Loreen came this weekend to cut Mark's hair, to get him look ready again for the coming week.
This time he did not have to get up at the crack of dawn to avoid the long queue at his usual barber shop. Loreen came to our house and within no time Mark looked the part.

Many thanks, I look forward to having my hair cut.

Monday

Clara came for some plums last night, and today she has cut my hair for me.
I still have some plums left, so if you are interested to make some delicious crumbles and conserves, give me a bell or send me an email.
