Monday

Yesterday Diane, Andrea, Sally, Lawrence and Mike helped make an 18 year old (and his parents)very happy!

What a wonderful effort it was, the food provided by Diane and Andrea was delicious and stunning,
Mike, or Jack (of all trades) your help with making Thomas’ book has been invaluable (I still have a few more pages to print, hopefully in the new year you have some time to do this, no hurry though).
The tables borrowed from Rob and the table cloth from Andrea looked lovely and the room was turned into a beautiful and special place to celebrate Sir Thomas’ investiture.
The birthday cake was stunning, delicious and so carefully thought out, we almost did not dare to eat it. We did however take the plunge and not a crumb was left after the on slaught.

It was a great surprise that my dad had flow over from Holland for the day, but logistically taking him back to the airport was tricky. This is where Lawrence came up trumps! Dad enjoyed the chat on the way to the plane, whilst we finished the last of the celebrations.

At the end of the evening I received the biggest hug from our young man, thanking me for the loveliest party he has ever been to. He so appreciated all the effort that had gone into it, so I felt I needed to extend the hug to you all too! It really was a big one so very easy to share with all of you! Love Karina
