4pm sharp a knock on the door, there was John B, ready to give my son Michael a 2 hour starter session how to be a butler (in the past it took John 6 months to get new comers ready to be a real butler, so we are doing well now!) he showed and taught Michael how to lay the table for various courses with numberous wines, practiced the cone and mitre napkin folding and then to top it all show how to do the silver serving of peas, steak, bread and soup (the real runny type). It was a great evening, Michael loved it and can thoroughly recommend it to anyone in our group who might just want to learn the basics, you never know when it comes to use. My eldest son Thomas having done this training with John 2 years ago then proceeded to serve the Queen and her entourage within a couple of months of work. John can be a very proud mentor.
