I always like to improve my English and at the moment I have more contact to German speakers than with English speakers.
I spoke with Karina about my "little problem" and she helped me to make contact to Leroi and Thea from the Skills Exchange. I met both and I’m so impressed.
When I spoke with Leroi the first time on telephone, he invited me to his house for a meal and I had a marvelous evening with him and his family.
After that evening we promised that we will get in contact again. I really look forward to meeting him again as he can then correct me, so that I can improve my English all the time.
Thea is a marvelous lady, living in an nice old Victorian house with atmosphere. She told me that she taught herself to play instruments. She played and sung to me and I liked it. Later she offered me guitar lessons and to my surprise this is something I always wanted to do one day!
I’m so happy that I have had the chance to join the Skills Exchange and Karina, too. It makes my life here in England much easier.

I put out a request for a guitar and within a day, two people came to offer me to borrow one. Now I can give it a go without worrying about the expense.
