Christmas with hens
Unfortunately Lawrence and I got the flu some time before Christmas and we are still fighting an unpleasant cough that came with it. We had invited Lawrence's Mum from Plymouth to stay with us for a couple of weeks but we had to cancel hers and any other visits or get-togethers, because we didn't want to pass on our nasty bugs.

We had promised to look after Karina's and Catherine's hens and we were glad to be able to do that job, because that at least made us leave our house twice a day in order to feed them and collect some nice, very fresh breakfast eggs.

So this year we had a very quiet and peaceful Christmas with twice a day to look forward to the company of some grateful hens (and a lonely cat).

Thanks also on behalf of the Hens for looking after them over the Christmas holidays. I am sorry they were not that generous with only 1 egg a day, when they start laying again, I will surprise you with a fresh dozen in the New Year!

Lots of love
